Team Talks: Justyna’s Journey in Payroll & HR

Welcome to another edition of Team Talks, where we share the inspiring stories and experiences of our team members at Parakar. At Parakar, we believe that our people are at the heart of everything we do. In this edition we shine a spotlight on Justyna, our Payroll & HR Operations specialist in Poland. Learn more about her journey at Parakar, what makes it special for her, and how she continues to grow in her role.

Can you tell us how you ended up at Parakar and what attracted you to the company?

“I realized pretty quickly that my previous job wasn’t the right fit for me, so I began searching for HR and payroll-related positions that offered remote work options. What really drew me to Parakar was the interview process. The entire experience was so positive and transparent. The recruitment process was smooth and clear, which made my decision much easier—even though I had another job offer on the table at the time. I thought, ‘If Parakar operates this well at the start, the rest should be just as good,’ and I was right!”

What aspects of Parakar’s company culture make it a unique place to work for you?

“People, of course! The people here are amazing, but it’s more than just that. I think it comes from the roots, from the very beginning—Johan is an incredible person and founder. He’s created an environment where great people naturally gather, making this Parakar truly special.”

Could you share your journey briefly at Parakar so far?

“I joined Parakar in July 2023 as an HR Operations Specialist. My first task was to organize HR processes for Poland, such as Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), remote work setups, and Employee Capital Plans, which hadn’t been established yet. It was thrilling to learn these new things from a management perspective. After that, I was trained to support HR operations in Italy and how to handle payroll for Germany. I was even awarded the GEM of the year, which was both crazy and exciting!

Could you share an example of some work you’re proud of?

“Honestly, I think my proudest moment is still ahead of me. I’m currently working on implementing a payroll system for Poland that started last year, and once that’s completed, I’ll feel a huge sense of accomplishment. But so far, I’m proud of everything I’ve achieved. Each task has brought me satisfaction and helped me grow.”

What are some of the key responsibilities and challenges you encounter in your role as Payroll & HR Operations Specialist at Parakar?

“My main responsibility is managing HR processes for Poland, as well as overseeing payroll implementation and managing payroll activities in Germany. The biggest challenge right now is finding the best solutions for new processes and addressing issues that arise when the process isn’t fully in place yet.”

How do you stay motivated and inspired at work?

“As long as I’m learning and gaining experience—which is never an issue at Parakar—motivation and inspiration are natural parts of my work.”

How do you see the future, and how do you think Parakar will continue to differentiate itself in this industry?

“I’m not entirely sure where I see myself in 5, 10, or 15 years, but that’s what makes it exciting. The times are unpredictable, and I stopped planning a while ago. Parakar is a truly great company because of the people who make it so. I believe in those people, and I’m confident that Parakar will continue to thrive.”

Lastly, what would you like to share with others considering entering or applying to Parakar?

“If you’re looking to work in an amazing team, have room to grow, and want to be part of a company that values work-life balance, then you should definitely consider joining Parakar!”
