Upcoming contribution updates in France for employers using EOR
Hiring in France comes with a set of statutory employer contributions and obligations. If you’re working with Parakar for Employer of Record services in France, you don’t have to worry about navigating these rules yourself. Still, it’s useful to know about the updates scheduled for 2026 that may affect total employer costs.
Over the past years, Parakar was exempt from certain employer contributions as it operated below the legal thresholds. Starting in 2025, these exemptions will no longer apply, which means the related contributions will come into effect beginning January 2026.
Below is a clear overview of what will change, how it works and what you can expect.
What updates are coming in 2026?
Forfait Social – employer contribution on employee benefits
This contribution applies to employer-funded benefits such as bonuses or employee savings plans. A new rate is expected to be published for 2026. Once released, our payroll team will apply it automatically.
Mobility Payment (Versement Mobilité)
This contribution helps finance public transportation networks in France. It applies based on the total gross wages paid, and because your employee is located in the Paris region, the contribution will apply. As soon as the new 2026 rate is published, it will be adopted in payroll.
Training Tax (Taxe Formation)
Designed to support France’s professional training system, this tax will have updated calculation rules from 2026. These rules will be integrated into payroll by our team.
Accidents at Work & Occupational Diseases (AT/MP)
This contribution rate is updated annually by Social Security authorities. The 2026 rate will simply be applied when provided, as part of the regular yearly update.
Health Insurance & Provident Schemes (Mutuelle & Prévoyance)
No changes are expected to the system itself. Only the annual updated contribution rates from insurers will be applied in 2026.
When will you see these changes?
All updates will appear on payslips starting January 2026. The official parameters and exact rates are usually published in January, and once communicated, Parakar will implement them immediately.
What actions do you need to take?
None. The Parakar payroll team manages compliance on your behalf. Once the new 2026 parameters are confirmed, we will make sure everything is aligned and correctly reflected in payroll.
