We are looking for a proactive and organized Compliance & Quality Specialist to join our Legal & Compliance team on a temporary basis to cover a planned period of leave (April - October, 2026).
This role is focused on: maintaining and safeguarding our existing compliance framework, ensuring continuity and collaboration between the Legal and Operations Team, and supporting internal stakeholders with legal and compliance-related matters.
Rather than building new large-scale projects, the emphasis will be on keeping current processes running smoothly, responding to urgent matters, and providing practical, hands-on support to the business.
You will report to the Head of Legal Operations (located in NL) and work closely with local HR teams in a fast-paced, international environment, supporting teams across multiple countries and jurisdictions.

You can be based in any of the countries where Parakar is located, which is in NL, BE, DE, FR, ES, PT, IT, UK, IE or PL.
As our Temporary Compliance & Quality Specialist, your main duties will include:
- Maintaining existing legal and compliance processes, policies, and documentation;
- Supporting the day-to-day management of company licenses and related vendor relationships;
- Monitoring regulatory updates relevant to our business model and subsidiaries;
- Researching and reviewing legal and compliance topics as they come up;
- Translating complex compliance requirements into clear, practical processes and instructions;
- Supporting internal teams with compliance-related questions and issues;
- Assisting and supporting Legal Counsel and external advisors where needed;
- Contributing to quality and compliance audits;
- Supporting GDPR-related matters and general data protection processes;
- Acting as a reliable point of contact for ongoing compliance operations;
- Helping to manage external counsel relationships and discussions when required.
This is a hands-on, operational role where priorities can shift quickly. We are looking for someone who is comfortable stepping in where needed and acting as a dependable right hand to the Legal & Compliance function.
This is your job if
- You have experience in EOR (Employer of Record), corporate governance, legal or compliance operations;
- You have experience working in a global, multi-country, multi-legislation organization;
- You have strong communication skills in English (written and verbal);
- You have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and comfortable working with abstract information;
- You have confidence in researching regulatory topics and translating them into practical guidance;
- You have a client-service mindset and strong relationship management skills;
- You have a proactive, autonomous working style, able to think quickly on your feet;
- You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Any legal background or experience is considered a strong plus.
Ideally, you are:
- Used to working with internal and external stakeholders all at levels in the organization, including outside counsel;
- Comfortable participating in client-related discussions and compliance strategy meetings;
- Self-managing and independent, while still a strong team player;
- Eager to learn and able to adapt quickly to new topics and processes.
Experience with GDPR, licensing processes, or compliance audits is a plus.
Our offer
- A temporary contract from April until October;
- A starting annual salary between €32.000 and €70.000 gross (depending on your experience and on your location);
- A prorated annual development budget of €1000;
