The job

As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in Parakar's finance team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial and accounting activities for all countries where Parakar operates. You will ensure that financial transactions are accurately processed and recorded according to accounting principles and regulations. As part of our international team, you will have the opportunity to continue developing in areas that interest you, while sharing your knowledge and empowering the company as a whole. In this role, among other things, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the fiscal structure and transfer pricing model, and recording resulting entries;
  • Preparing and executing the month- and year-end closings, including the consolidation and elimination entries across our 15 entities in 10 countries;
  • Acting as the application owner for NetSuite, being responsible for its configuration and its integration with other applications in our end-to-end processes;
  • Accurately processing payroll journal entries and managing all aspects of payroll administration;
  • Ensuring that bank accounts for each country are properly funded and processing payments, including taxes, social securities, and pensions;
  • Preparing, verifying, and filing all tax returns (including VAT, CIT, Wage Tax);
  • Preparing local and group audits in collaboration with external accounting firms and auditors;
  • Generating and analysing various financial reports to provide insights into trends and anomalies;
  • Performing internal controls in the field of financial administration.

This is your job if

  • You have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting/control or another relevant financial field;
  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience as an accountant (preferably for more than one country in EU);
  • You can adapt quickly to (new) systems (for those who are curious, we mainly use NetSuite, Rydoo and Salesforce);
  • You have a very good and professional command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing;
  • You are aware of your ethical responsibility regarding confidentiality and integrity;
  • You have a proactive attitude, and can work closely with our international colleagues, customers, and suppliers in all time zones;
  • Your flexibility and empathy know no bounds, given our global work environment and the multicultural backgrounds you will encounter;
  • You are interested in strengthening and improving our operations as the company continues to grow.

Our offer

  • A starting salary of between €4150 and €5150 gross per month (depending on your experience);
  • Possibility to work part-time (36 hours);
